Dallas Cowboys 7-round mock draft after Senior Bowl
With the 201st pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, the Dallas Cowboys select …
Christopher Allen, Edge – Alabama
Career Stats: 54 total tackles, 13 tackles for loss, 6.5 Sacks, 3 Forced Fumbles
You can never have too many pass rushers in a league where teams are passing more and more each season. Allen suffered a broken foot in the season opener in 2021 that sidelined him for the year. The Alabama player then decided not to return and enter the NFL draft.
Depending on how well that foot has healed, he could soon be a riser up the draft boards. He’s a physical rusher that has good hand placement and is able to shed linemen in order to get ball carriers.
He also has a few pass rush moves that he can use to get around or even go through pass blockers to get to the quarterback. He has good speed and would be a nice addition for a team like the Cowboys if he were to even last this long in the draft. With this being the Cowboys’ last pick in the draft (unless they make a few moves), they need to go after someone who has the traits you want in an edge rusher.

Of course, every mock draft is going to look a little different. Each media outlet will have different selections. But, after the Senior Bowl, this is where the Cowboys could sit. But, expect many things will change after the NFL Combine.
