Dallas Cowboys 7-round mock draft after Senior Bowl
With the 126th pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, the Dallas Cowboys select …
Charleston Rambo, Receiver – Miami
Career Stats: 155 Receptions, 2,352 Receiving Yards, 15.2 Yard Per Catch, 16 Touchdowns
After two straight defensive picks, the Cowboys could turn their attention back to the offensive side of the football by selecting Rambo in an effort to give Prescott another weapon with big-play ability through the air.
Dallas does have a chance to re-sign Michael Gallup who will be hitting free agency after tearing his ACL towards the end of 2021, but he will come with a big price tag. Depending on what happens with Gallup, the Cowboys will need more firepower in that room. The former Oklahoma Sooner turned Miami Hurricane is a tall receiver with deceptive speed and a large catch radius whose been able to produce no matter who’s throwing him the football.
Rambo reminds me a lot of Gallup in the way he plays but looks to be a more polished route runner coming out of college than Gallup was. His ability to make sharp breaks off his routes is what really stands out. Adding another receiver that can take the top off a defense but also pick up short yardage with effective route running is a welcome addition.
