Dallas Cowboys cornerback Trevon Diggs is the younger brother of Buffalo Bills wide receiver Stefon Diggs. Trevon has only been in the NFL for two years, but he has never had the chance to face his brother in a professional setting since the Cowboys haven’t played the Bills since he entered the league. But, since both brothers were named Pro Bowl selections this year, they got to face off against each other for the first time in the Pro Bowl game.

Stefon, a seventh-year player, was a Pro Bowl selection for the second year in a row after having 1,225 yards and ten touchdowns in the 2021 season. Trevon, on the other hand, had a breakout year as he led the league with 11 interceptions. This was the first time they took the field as opponents as Stefon represented the AFC and Trevon represented the NFC.

In one instance, on 3rd and goal in the red zone, Stefon took a reverse and cut upfield towards the endzone. Trevon was the only defender who was near him on his way to the endzone. The younger brother appeared to have lost his footing, leaving him laying on the ground as his older brother scored a touchdown. When PFF called it “breaking ankles,” Trevon had this hilarious response:

Cowboys CB Trevon Diggs finally gets to play against big brother Stefon Diggs in Pro Bowl which brought an otherwise boring game entertaining moments

There’s nothing quite like sibling rivalry. The two brothers were going at each other the entire game. It seems Trevon wasn’t interested in taking any slack for the above play. Another fun situation was when the two brothers decided to trade places with Trevon playing wide receiver.

Some may remember that in his time at Alabama, Trevon actually started as a WR, but Nick Saban made him switch to defense. When playing receiver, Stefon seemed to get the best of Trevon again. Trevon wasn’t able to make a catch from Kirk Cousins in the end zone. But, to be fair, Stefon was doing a whole lot of holding against his brother on the play.

All in all, in an otherwise unexciting game, the brothers got to live out a long-time dream of playing against each other in a professional setting. From the skills competition to the game itself, the two had fun taking jabs at each other.

After the game, the two were finally able to do a jersey swap. Stefon retweeted the video with the caption “doing what you love with people you love… priceless.” Stefon ended the day with three catches for 29 yards, a touchdown, and he threw a 15-yard pass. Trevon had an interception (unsurprising), a pass defended, and a tackle.

The Cowboys aren’t scheduled to play the Bills next year, but maybe by some miracle the Cowboys and Bills will face each other in the Super Bowl next year. If not, the two brothers will have to make the Pro Bowl roster again to go head to head.
