Now that Dallas Cowboys fans have had their fill of laughter and fun over the new team moniker in Washington, it got me thinking a bit. I will reserve official judgment on Washington’s new uniforms, but what about the Cowboys?

I wanted to rank the best Cowboys uniforms until my kids (both in their early 20’s) asked me to rank the players with the most swag.

Now, I’m not going to pretend that I know fashion. But I do know which players look good, even though I am past my prime. My kids helped me compile the list. But before we get into it, there were a couple of general rules that I had to put in place.

The first rule was a person had to have swag both on and off the field. I don’t want to play spoiler, but Leighton Vander Esch’s “Wolf Coat” and Mike McCarthy’s “Burt Reynolds” look weren’t enough to make the list.

Secondly, age and style differ for everyone, so I did not put an age restriction on the debate.

Now, if you have ever been to AT&T Stadium, fans can go in between Blue Lot 7 and Silver Lot 5 to see the mini fashion show that players and coaches inadvertently put on as they arrive for games. They even toss items to fans sometimes (thank you coach John “Bones” Fassel).

Although “pop culture” drives what is traditionally seen as swag, having swag in a more non-traditional way can turn heads also. Some players might be upset they are left off the list but let’s face it, some guys have more swag than others. There were so many pictures to sift through, but I believe that we compiled a list that can represent most everyone.

Which members of the Dallas Cowboys had the most on and off-the-field swag in 2021?
