Final grades for each member of the Dallas Cowboys 2021 draft class
By Angel Torres
Like Josh Ball, Simi Fehoko basically had a redshirt year. The reason I gave Fehoko a grade at all is that he did have more than 50 snaps.
Fehoko played in seven plays on offense and 48 on special teams. Fehoko was an instant fan favorite and his measurables combined with his production in college made me think he could make an impact stretching the field. But apparently, the coaching staff believes he needs a bit more seasoning.
With so much love going his way, I almost convinced myself that he could have a Miles Austin-like emergence. The hype gets us all sometimes.
Fehoko certainly gave us the ammunition before the season started. Fehoko stands 6-4 and weighs 222 pounds. His blazing 4.37 forty-yard dash time turned heads enough to think that he could be a late-round gem.
It is still very early and with so many question marks surrounding the Cowboys wide receiver corps, I expect Fehoko to have a major role on special teams and contribute some to the offense next season. Anything else is a bonus.
