2. Romo and the ‘Boys beat the Lions in 2015

We know that Tony Romo is often criticized for his inability to perform in the playoffs. This game shows the opposite. This was arguably one of his best games as a Cowboy.

It wasn’t looking optimistic for the Cowboys when the Lions quickly went up 14-0 in the first quarter. A beautiful 76-yard touchdown by Terrance Williams brought it to 14-7, but the Lions scored two field goals that made it 20-7.

The Cowboys would enter the fourth quarter down 20-14. Then, with just over two minutes to go in the game, Romo found Williams in the back of the end zone to put the Cowboys on top for the first time in the game.

Romo clawed his way back in this one, even converting a crucial fourth down to keep Dallas alive. He ended the day with 293 passing yards and a QB rating of 114.0.

Although Romo was a highlight, then-rookie DeMarcus Lawrence sealed the deal for the Cowboys.  He had two strip sacks in the final two minutes to keep the Lions from coming back. Maybe we will see more of those from him on Sunday?
