2. Indianapolis Colts

The Indianapolis Colts are second in the AFC South and have over $57 million to use in their salary cap next season. With T.Y. Hilton becoming a free agent in 2022 as well, it would make sense for them to not resign an often-injured, 32-year-old, and replace him with a 25-year-old who is proving himself game after game. Plus, Parris Campbell is hurt again, continuing to be plagued by injury, and rarely seeing the turf.

The money is there and the talent is not. The Colts are long due for an upgrade at this position.

This would be an excellent time to use that saved up cap money for an offensive stand-out. The Colts have the running game on lock with Jonathan Taylor having a monster, record-breaking season. They have an up-and-coming talent in Michael Pittman Jr. on one side of the field. By adding Gallup to the mix, they can add a serious playmaker who can help them secure victories.

Carson Wentz has proven that with the right system, he can be a great quarterback and make good decisions. His touchdown to interception ratio is great this season. Having a trusted player in the end zone would only help Wentz.

Even if the Colts keep Pittman Jr. and Hilton, it’s always nice to have a third wide receiver you can count on. This could be a solid fit for Gallup.
