As the Dallas Cowboys prepare for their Week 9 matchup against the Denver Broncos, all eyes will be on if America’s Team can win games they’re supposed to. It’s no secret that the Broncos have yet to find their identity as a team and with many injuries, lack of consistent play, and a 4-4 record so far this season, the Cowboys are early favorites to win.

When it comes to the top player prop bet to make for this Broncos vs Cowboys matchup, it could be a big day in the office for running back Ezekiel Elliott. Here’s a look at the latest over/under on player total rushing yards for Elliott directly from WynnBET:

Dallas Cowboys: Player Total Rushing Yards – Ezekiel Elliott
Over: 77.5 (-125)
Under: 77.5 (-115)

Considering the health of quarterback Dak Prescott, the Cowboys could very well feature a heavy dose of Elliott to get things going on the ground. Elliott hasn’t had a 100+ rushing yard game since Week 5 against the New York Giants and is easily due for one.

Last week in the Cowboys’ big win over the Minnesota Vikings, Elliott totaled 16 rushing attempts for 50 yards and zero touchdowns. As a matter of fact, he hasn’t scored a touchdown since that Week 5 win over the Giants as early WynnBET rushing projections have him rushing for about 77.5 yards against the Broncos.

Elliott is indeed an elite running back and does it all for the Cowboys, whether it’s to help in pass protection, be a receiving target out of the backfield, or get down to work in establishing the ground game. The Broncos’ run defense is decent but not great at all as it’s been struggling as of late, even more so with their recent trade of Von Miller to the Los Angeles Rams.

Take the over on Elliott as this playmaker could be a catalyst on offense as the Cowboys will more than likely focus on the ground game over their passing attack in this Week 9 game. Prescott will more than likely play on Sunday and will need all the help he can get to ensure he doesn’t aggravate his calf strain injury even further.

This could bode well for not only Elliott to hit the century mark in rushing yards but also go back to his scoring ways. Expect a big game from Elliott to run wild against a struggling Broncos’ defense to do his part in the Cowboys leaving this game victorious in front of their home crowd in AT&T Stadium.
