Dallas Cowboys: Osa Odighizuwa knows Tom Brady’s biggest weakness
The Dallas Cowboys are looking forward to starting off the new season strong in their Week 1 matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. It would speak volumes to the football world if America’s Team were able to come out and beat the defending Super Bowl champions to kick off the new NFL season.
Of course, it’s always easier said than done as it won’t be a walk in the park at all for the Cowboys to leave their Week 1 matchup victorious. We all know who plays quarterback for the Buccaneers and that in itself is always something to worry about. For over 20 years now, quarterback Tom Brady and seen it all, done it all, and well, is easily one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time.
When it comes to Brady, he’s not invincible despite being a proven winner and adding more milestones to his legendary pro football career. Rookie defensive tackle Osa Odighizuwa is just getting his feet wet as he prepares for his journey into the NFL and well, is already chiming in his thoughts on what he thinks about #12.
Osa Odighizuwa believes Tom Brady is not very mobile
In an article written by Jason Owens of Yahoo! Sports, Odighizuwa apparently broke down Brady’s biggest weakness as a quarterback. Here’s what he had to say:
"“He’s not very mobile,” Odighizuwa answered. “I mean, you know, he’s been playing for 21 years. The dude is a little older, not too mobile. I’d say that’s probably what it is.”"
In the grand scheme of things, yeah, Odighizuwa is right about Brady. Obviously, after turning 44 years old on August 3, football fans won’t find Brady scrambling for 30 yards anytime soon. The man seems to transcend time and has already proven that age is but a number. It’s crazy to see he’s still able to consistently get the job done and at a championship-winning level on top of it.
Despite not being a mobile quarterback, Odighizuwa fully knows that yeah, Brady isn’t going to scramble out the pocket or try to trick the Cowboys’ defense with plays designed for a quarterback run in any way, shape, or form. Brady will undoubtedly test the Cowboys’ defense with one of the many ways he knows how through his strategic planning, execution, and extraordinary ability to keep those chains moving while scoring touchdowns at will.
One can only imagine the excitement Odighizuwa would have if he was able to get his first NFL sack ever against Brady but only time will tell once Week 1 is finally here. It will undoubtedly be a big challenge for the Cowboys but at any rate, yeah, Brady is older and not too mobile but can still keep up with the best the NFL has to offer and then some.
