Running Back

Prediction: Ezekiel Elliott rushes for over 1,000 yards, but will not lead the NFL

There’s been much ado about running back Ezekiel Elliott’s commitment to getting into terrific physical condition this offseason. And coming off his worst year as a professional, Zeke certainly wants to make a statement in 2021. And we believe he will.

Expect Elliott to once again rush beyond the 1,000-yard milestone for the fourth time in his six-year career. But don’t expect him to have a repeat of 2016 or 2018 when he led the NFL in rushing yards.

While Zeke will be a big part of the offense this upcoming season, the team’s passing attack is far too talented not to be utilized in a potential record-breaking way. That fact alone will limit the 26-year old’s rushing attempts. Throw in a quality backup in Tony Pollard who himself deserves an increase in opportunities entering his third season, and Elliott’s chances of leading the league in rushing yards are nil.

Wide Receiver

Prediction: CeeDee Lamb is elected to his first Pro Bowl in 2021

This has been the summer of CeeDee Lamb. The second-year receiver made highlight-reel catches on the daily at training camp in Oxnard. So much so it has many wondering if Lamb will become the de facto number one wide receiver in Dallas over the $100 million man, Amari Cooper.

Regardless of how the depth chart is shaped, we believe there’s a good chance that No. 88 leads the Cowboys in both receiving yards and receiving touchdowns once the dust settles on the season. If this comes true, the 22-year old should earn the first of many Pro Bowl nominations.
