Stock Down: Simi Fehoko, WR

It was a devastating night for the Cowboys’ fifth-round selection, rookie wide receiver Simi Fehoko. Flagged a whopping three times, once for pass interference and twice for holding on special teams, Fehoko is making it difficult for himself to be considered for the final-53 man roster.

The Cowboys wide receiver corps is stocked with talent. Amari Cooper, Michael Gallup, CeeDee Lamb, and Cedrick Wilsons are locks at the top of the depth chart at this point. Fehoko is battling for a backup role against receivers like Noah Brown and Malik Turner who both have had better preseason outings.

This is a situation where Fehoko’s draft stock might not be able to dig him out of the hole he’s created for himself with only a single preseason game left to prove his worth.

Stock Up: Osa Odighizuwa, DT

While the stat sheet is thin for third-round rookie Osa Odighizuwa (one assisted tackle), he made a critical stop on a fourth-down attempt by the Texans early in the second quarter, beating a double-team to do so.

With the elbow injury suffered by defensive tackle Neville Gallimore, the Cowboys are expected to turn to Odighizuwa to help pick up the slack early into the regular season. And so far, Osa seems up for the challenge.
