2. Dak Prescott, QB

Prescott is the second Dallas Cowboys’ offensive player that was arguably disrespected by his Madden rating. The former Mississippi State quarterback received an 87 overall to begin the season. This places him as the eighth-best quarterback in the game.

This rating appears to be the worst one of all the Cowboys’ players. Last season, Prescott was on pace to shatter the passing yards record and averaged 371.2 passing yards per game. Moreover, he was probably a large reason why Dallas stayed in so many of those games in 2020.

Yes, Prescott is coming off a season-ending ankle injury, but that shouldn’t affect his Madden rating in any way. There was a solid chance that the former fourth-round pick could have won MVP last season if he kept it up.

Overall, it seems that Madden was cautious with giving quarterbacks who “randomly” became elite last season, a higher overall for Madden 22. Quarterback Josh Allen who received 4 MVP votes in 2020, only received an 88 overall. Additionally, quarterback Ryan Tannehill, who finished with 41 total touchdowns and seven interceptions, received just an 87 overall.

All three of these quarterbacks probably shouldn’t be in this 87-88 range. More importantly, Prescott should be rated much higher than his 87 overall, especially since his best friend (Ezekiel Elliott) is one overall higher himself.
