4. Dak Returning to Form

Cowboys fans were concerned about how long quarterback Dak Prescott would be sidelined after sustaining a shoulder injury in practice. However, there can be a sigh of relief as Prescott started throw passes on a pitch count before the second preseason game.

From the beginning, Cowboys trainers thought his injury would be a couple of weeks. Light throwing puts him right on schedule to ramp up his workload before the third preseason game.

Some fans will argue that Prescott shouldn’t see the field before the turf in Tampa Bay, but there is something to getting in a groove, so there is less pressure come week one. If the star quarterback can get in two series of work with some basic plays, then that’s all he’ll need before Sep. 9.

5. The Human Highlight Reel

The audience caught a glimpse of how dominant second-year-wide out CeeDee Lamb has been in Oxnard. Even owner Jerry Jones notices a difference in his play from year one to now.

Lamb takes pride in the work he has put in this offseason to become a better player for the Cowboys. The highlights in practice are nice, but he wants more than that and won’t settle for anything less than perfection.

In the episode, Lamb acknowledges that the No. 88 comes with a lot of pressure, but he wants to exceed all expectations. If he can become a threat on the outside mixed in with his experience from last year working in the slot, the sky is the limit for how productive he can be in 2021.
