The Dallas Cowboys will take on the Pittsburgh Steelers on Thursday night at 7:00 p.m. CT on FOX. The matchup will kick off the NFL preseason in the annual Hall of Fame game in Canton, Ohio.

For fans, it will be their first chance to see several of the new faces that have been added to America’s Team this offseason. And here are five players we’ll be watching closely during the exhibition.

Micah Parsons, LB

The Cowboys’ first-round selection, Penn State linebacker Micah Parsons, should make his professional debut against the Steelers on Thursday night. Parsons has flashed his outstanding athletic ability and versatility during training camp. And now fans will finally get a chance to witness what all the hype is about in an actual game setting.

Kelvin Joseph, CB

The team’s second-rounder, Kentucky cornerback Kelvin Joseph, is also worth keeping an eye on against Pittsburgh. The 21-year old rookie only played a total of 15 games during his entire college career, so getting him as much experience as possible is paramount. Joseph has been touted to possess first-round talent and we’ll be eagerly watching to see him display those traits in his debut.

Ben DiNucci, QB

Fans likely have a bad taste in their mouths from the sour performance quarterback Ben DiNucci put up against the Philadelphia Eagles in his lone start as a rookie. But don’t forget that the 2020 seventh-rounder out of James Madison didn’t go through a traditional offseason program last season. Now that DiNucci has, and playing against lesser competition, DiNucci has a chance to win fans back as he faces his hometown team.

Malik Turner, WR

The top end of the Cowboys’ depth chart at receiver is a lock in Dallas. Yet, there’s a heated competition happening at training camp for those spots at the end of the bench. And no one receiver within that group has arguably impressed more at camp than Malik Turner. A good outing by the fourth-year veteran could go a long way in securing him a spot on the final 53-man roster.

Quinton Bohanna, DT

It’s not often when you can choose a sixth-round selection as a top-five player to watch. But defensive tackle Quinton Bohanna is special. At 6-foot-4 and 330-pounds (down 30 pounds), Bohanna is the only true nose tackle on the Cowboys’ entire roster.

As such, Bohanna can play a pivotal role in getting the Dallas defense back on track. He’s also shown to be a surprisingly agile interior penetrator at camp as well. Now, he’ll have a chance to show those abilities in front of a much larger audience.
