#8. Micah Parsons with the interception

Being the Cowboys’ first-round selection comes with immense pressure. But linebacker Micah Parsons isn’t one to shy away from the spotlight. And onlookers have come away impressed by the rookie’s top-tier athletic abilities.

In the above clip, Parsons is able to sang an interception. What makes it so special is the fact the 12th overall selection in the 2021 NFL Draft didn’t record a single pick during his time at Penn State.

It not only shows his growing understanding of new defensive coordinator Dan Quinn’s scheme but that the 22-year old Parsons has only begun to tap into his vast abilities as a blossoming defensive playmaker.

#7. Noah Brown welcomes the rookie to the NFL

Veterans live for those “Welcome to the NFL” moments to give to rookies. And that’s exactly what longtime wide receiver Noah Brown gave to third-round rookie cornerback Nahshon Wright. The wily veteran, entering his fifth NFL season, put an ankle-breaking move on the lanky Wright that made his legs buckle.

Admittedly, playing man pressure up on the line is a bad position for a 6-foot-4, 188-pound rookie cornerback to be placed in as he seems better suited to use his length rather than pure speed and agility to cover. But give Brown credit for his route running abilities here and for getting the young defender to bite to the outside while shifting back in.
