The Dallas Cowboys have made plenty of moves this offseason. These changes are hopefully good enough to get the Cowboys back to the playoffs for the first time since 2018.

Dallas hasn’t really made any changes to their offense from a season ago. They do get their star quarterback Dak Prescott back, their offensive line back, and their starting tight end in Blake Jarwin back. Additionally, reportedly running back Tony Pollard has taken reps at wide receiver for the Cowboys at their OTAs.

However, most of their changes this offseason have come on the defensive side of the ball. The Cowboys’ defensive unit was arguably one of the worst in the league in 2020, so it was a given that something needed to be done differently. They ranked 28th in points allowed per game (29.6), 31st in rush yards allowed per game (158.8), and tied for 31st in touchdowns allowed per game (3.6).

As a result, the Cowboys had to make that defense better in any way possible. Not only did they select many players through the NFL draft, but they changed their defensive coordinator as well. With the addition of eight young rookies and a new defensive coordinator, the Cowboys are likely hoping that this will be enough for them in 2021.

Furthermore, they added safety/linebacker Keanu Neal, safety Damontae Kazee, and linebacker Tarrell Basham. With the many changes the Cowboys have made this offseason, here are their three best moves.
