3. Blake Jarwin, TE

I know many people that anticipated a breakout season last year from Blake Jarwin. But, that was put on hold after he suffered a torn ACL in week one against the Rams.

Now as we enter 2021, it is time to see what Jarwin is fully capable of. Playing in a loaded offense, Jarwin is a lock to see single-coverage on every single play.

His length and speed make him a difficult cover for linebackers and his size makes him a tough matchup for defensive backs. Plus, most teams will have their fourth or fifth defensive back covering him.

Dallas will remain a pass-heavy offense especially after committing to Dak Prescott long-term. Dak has been know to spread the ball around to tight ends, including Dalton Schultz last season who stepped in for Jarwin and had 19 catches for 225 yards and two touchdowns in five games with Prescott.

Also, the Cowboys did not sign Jarwin to a $22 million contract extension before last season to not utilize him. Many remember Jarwin’s first-career breakout performance where he posted seven catches for 119 yards and three touchdowns in 2018.

At that time Jarwin was backing up future Hall-of-Famer Jason Witten. But, now as the lead dog in the tight-end room, Jarwin should be ready to flourish in one of the best offenses in the NFL.
