Maybe this saga could be titled The Curious Case of Reggie Robinson. A fourth-round selection in 2020, it’s unclear what the original plan was for the former Tulsa defender. During his short stay in Dallas, the coaching staff has shifted Robinson from cornerback to safety and back again.

At 6-foot-1, 205-pounds, Robinson has the frame that new defensive coordinator Dan Quinn covets. But the former fourth-rounder also faces stiff competition with Quinn drafting three cornerbacks in April in Kelvin Joseph, Nahshon Wright, and Israel Mukuamu (who’s being converted to safety himself).

So it seems Robinson’s future in Dallas is in the hands of Quinn this summer. Will the former Atlanta Falcons head coach see potential in the young defensive prospect and be willing to develop him over players he had a hand in drafting this offseason?

After a rough rookie season where Robinson played in only five games, (a total of 65 snaps, all of which on special teams) the 24-year old will now have to impress a new defensive coaching staff in his second season or he’ll likely be getting a visit from The Turk.
