Dallas Cowboys: Three remaining free agents to consider in 2021
By Connor Green
The Dallas Cowboys headed into this offseason with a plethora of needs that were heavily skewed towards the defensive side of the ball. The team has since made a handful of (mostly insignificant) moves to attempt to address this need.
The most impactful move the organization has made so far this offseason was signing safety Damontae Kazee, who led the NFL in interceptions with seven back in 2018.
Dallas has also signed players like safety Keanu Neal (who will reportedly play mostly weakside linebacker), safety Jayron Kearse, defensive lineman Carlos Watkins and Brent Urban, and edge rusher Tarell Basham. The Cowboys have also made a handful of other additions to bolster their special teams unit and depth at other key positions.
Even with those moves the team still has a handful of pressing needs that it can either fill through the remainder of free agency or during the upcoming NFL Draft. The Cowboys currently have roughly $8 million in cap space and should seriously consider using some of that money to address some of their remaining needs before the draft.
Here is a list of three remaining free agents who the Dallas Cowboys should still pursue before the NFL Draft.
