The Dallas Cowboys address concerns at the linebacker spot. Once again, the defense earns priority here. Safety Tre’Von Moehrig was available here, but I allowed the safety position to slide here to add linebacker help.

A little help from my friends…

Leighton Vander Esch started 10 games last season. In 2019, he started nine contests. Since joining the Cowboys in 2018, he has started 30 games but missed a total of 18 regular-season contests.

Linebacker veteran Sean Lee turns 35 this July. Jaylon Smith is having an up and down career since receiving a new contract. In other words, the Dallas Cowboys need to be aware of some linebacker help.

Enter Jamin Davis from Kentucky. Davis had a good final year at Kentucky, earning 102 tackles, two pass deflections, 1.5 sacks, a forced fumble, and three interceptions.

A beast in the East?

Jamin Davis is an interesting name to watch. His stock is rising. Davis could likely hear his name called in the first round with teams looking for linebackers. In this scenario, Davis was projected to go in the late first round.

The Cowboys had an opportunity to address the safety spot with Moehrig, but instead, add Jamin Davis to add some help in their 4-3 profile.
