The Dallas Cowboys are in dire need of help in their secondary. With the team losing one of its top players at the position this free agency in cornerback Chidobe Awuzie that need has perhaps only increased from the start of the offseason.

That should lead the team to pay attention to cornerback Camryn Bynum. The 22-year old was a four-year starter at California and managed to finish his collegiate career with an impressive 28 pass deflections, the sixth-most in the history of the Pac 12.

The best word to describe the young defender would be consistent. In his first three years with the Golden Bears, he managed to have at least eight pass deflections, 30 solo tackles, and one interception while playing in at least 12 games.

The young defender initially announced his intention to opt-out of the 2020 season but then changed his mind and wound up playing four games last season. He managed to get one interception, 19 total tackles, and two pass deflections in those games.

The Dallas Cowboys could get a battle-tested player who gained invaluable experience as a four-year starter in the competitive Pac 12. Bynum might not be the flashiest pick, but he has solid ball skills and demonstrated a level of durability and consistency that would make him a great depth piece for the Cowboys.
