The Dallas Cowboys come into this NFL Draft with a ton of options to choose from. With quite a few holes to fill on the team and with some improvements that can be made to areas where there aren’t necessarily holes, they can go a myriad of different directions with the pick.

While the Cowboys are known for the splash move, which is typically offense and see: CeeDee Lamb, this NFL Draft may be a bit different for them, from a philosophy or approach standpoint. Well, one can only hope.

In any situation, there’s one guy that stands above the rest for some. And that’s Alabama cornerback Patrick Surtain II, to the Cowboys at number 10.

Not only would that be the best pick for Dallas, but it would be the smartest pick. That’s rarely something you can say for any team, yet alone the Dallas Cowboys.

That’s one reason why Surtain would be a great pickup. Here are three more reasons though.
