Alright, alright, I know this seems kind of lame, almost like cheating. Gerald McCoy was a 2020 addition that did not work out, specifically due to a training camp injury that forced him to miss the entire season.

The Dallas Cowboys released McCoy, essentially voiding his free-agent deal, but seem to have a kind of, sort of wink, wink deal to bring him back in 2021.

Obviously, the drawback here is that McCoy is one year older and coming off a major injury. Fans may also be a little gun shy given how terrible the other “big name” acquisition at the same position went for the team.

Still, McCoy has always been a better player than Dontari Poe and has maintained relationships with a few players on the team. It is also likely he will come with a very appealing price tag that does not hurt things.
