With the 44th overall pick in the second round, the Dallas Cowboys select Jevon Holland. Saftey. Oregon

Just wait a darn second here! Do you mean to tell me that the Dallas Cowboys go safety? In the 2021 NFL Draft?

You betcha. And I’m hoping the general manager pays attention here. Look, Cowboys Nation has been clamoring for safety since Dallas grabbed Darren Woodson in the second round of the 1992 NFL Draft. It’s time.

If Holland drops to Dallas in the second round, where the team picks 44th overall, the Cowboys must take him. Holland is rumored to go either the first or second round. I don’t see him dropping to Big D, but then again teams don’t want to spend big on safety so early.

In two seasons with Oregon, Jevon Holland accumulated a whopping nine interceptions. He totaled 108 tackles and 10 pass deflections. His size may be a concern at six-foot-one, 201 pounds. But I like his numbers and potential.
