Should I Stay or Should I Go?

These players can have a case made for them one way or the other. For a few, it will depend on how much other teams covet them. For others, it is probably time for the Dallas Cowboys to go in a different direction.

LB – Sean Lee – if he wants to play another year for the league minimum or slightly above it, I’m all in.

QB – Andy Dalton – Dalton has publicly stated he wants to be a full-time starter. Good luck Andy!

LB – Aldon Smith – Does he want to play nice with Dallas and reward them for giving him a shot or is he looking to break the bank? If the former is true, come on back, otherwise, thank you for your services in 2020.

TE – Blake Bell – With Jarwin coming back and Dalton Schultz emerging in his place, Bell is only necessary at the league minimum.

LB – Joe Thomas – The Cowboys linebacker spot rivals only their defensive backs as the biggest question mark of the offseason. Thomas does provide talent but a high draft pick might render him unnecessary.

LS – L.P. Ladouceur – At some point, the ride must come to an end. Consider him in the same boat as Lee.

LB – Justin March – Primarily a special teams contributor, March’s return is all about the benjamins.

DT – Eli Ankou – The Cowboys sent off a seventh-round pick to acquire Ankou from the Texans. It seems likely he’ll get a minimum deal offer given that cost and the need to sure up the middle of the defense.

DE – Ron’Dell Carter – Carter is another free agent that Dallas has exclusive rights towards. His future seems linked to Aldon Smith’s. If Smith comes back, there really is not a need for him.
