Here are three Dallas Cowboys to watch against the Eagles on Sunday
The 5-9 Dallas Cowboys are clinging to a 6% chance of making the NFL playoffs. And in order to keep those slim hopes alive, the Cowboys need a home victory over the 4-9-1 Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday afternoon.
While the Eagles have notched just four wins this season, one of those victories came against Dallas back in Week Eight, 23-9. But nearly two months later, these two teams are drastically different, especially under center. In a pivotal rematch, here are three Cowboys who could make the most impact on Sunday.
Sean Lee, LB
In what could be his final game in AT&T Stadium, veteran linebacker Sean Lee will get his first start of the season against the Eagles due to the ankle injury suffered by Leighton Vander Esch. Injuries have once again robbed Lee of playing time this season, limiting the 34-year old to just seven games. He’s recorded a career-low 100 defensive snaps and a total of just 10 tackles.
Andy Dalton, QB
This might be an obvious choice as it’s at the quarterback position, but this is a point worth making. The last time the Cowboys faced the Eagles this season, seventh-round rookie passer Ben DiNucci was the starter.
The 24-year old completed only 21 of his 40 passes for 180 yards and had no touchdowns or interceptions. DiNucci was sacked four times and fumbled twice, losing both.
Entering Week 16, both the Cowboys and the Eagles will have different quarterbacks starting under center with Andy Dalton at the helm in Dallas and rookie Jalen Hurts taking over in Philly. Dalton is riding a two-game winning streak recording four touchdowns and throwing no picks.

Amari Cooper, WR
Prior to the team’s Week 15 matchup against the San Francisco 49ers, wide receiver Amari Cooper was on a three-game touchdown streak. In his prior contest against the Eagles, Cooper posted just one reception for five yards on five targets from rookie quarterback Ben DiNucci. A motivated Amari is due to have a bounce-back game at home in AT&T Stadium, especially considering he didn’t get a Pro Bowl nod for only the second time in his six-year NFL career.
