OL-Zack Martin

Offensive lineman Zack Martin will make his seventh Pro Bowl this year. He has been one of the few bright spots on this team and even showed his versatility by playing right tackle at a Pro Bowl level.

His worth to this team is undeniable and has made a genius of whoever you give credit for drafting this player. If you remember correctly, the team wanted an impact defender heading into the 2014 NFL Draft and were targeting defensive lineman Aaron Donald and linebacker Ryan Shazier.

They were rumored to have been on the phone with Shazier at the time Pittsburgh drafted him and left Dallas at the alter. Their consolation prize has ended up being arguably the team’s best right guard in franchise history.

For those who are curious, a Larry Allen, Zack Martin guard combo would be my choice for best All-Time team debates. Martin was selected as a member of the All 2010s team while Allen is already enshrined in the Hall of Fame.

Regardless of his current injury, Martin has likely already cemented himself into Canton and this four-time All-Pro only has a Super Bowl ring missing from his legacy. Something I expect him to achieve at some point before he calls it quits.

Earning a Pro Bowl nod every year you have played certainly shows his popularity but his play on the field has mirrored all of the accolades he has received. This selection is a no brainer.
