There’s was not a single rookie whose skill-set was on display more in 2020 than cornerback Trevon Diggs. For better and for worse. The Cowboys’ second-round selection out of Alabama was forced into a starting role early because of injuries suffered in the secondary.

Diggs started the first nine games of the season and it was certainly a trial by fire. For every pass the rookie successfully defended, he also gave up a big play or touchdown.

In the end, Diggs would record 48 tackles, 10 pass deflections, two interceptions, one sack, and a forced fumble before landing on Injured Reserved in early November.

While his rookie season was a rollercoaster ride, Diggs was arguably the team’s top defender at times in 2020. And he actually still leads the team in picks despite not having played since Week Nine.
