Washington Football Team

The Washington football team is in a worse situation than the Giants. After the Thanksgiving day game against Dallas, they then have to travel to face the undefeated Pittsburgh Steelers. A daunting task even with better play from their recently inserted quarterback Alex Smith.

Washington now has to travel across the country to face a wounded 49ers team that still poses a threat. Hosting Seattle after traveling is definitely a tough game before catching a break facing the Carolina Panthers who are dealing with injury concerns of their own.

Their final game is at Philadelphia where like the other division matchup, could have significant meaning in regards to the NFC East Crown. I give Washington head coach Ron Rivera credit for keeping his team focused no matter what.

Their front seven has played very well and has masked some of the deficiencies in other areas of their defense. The offense has picked up the pace and Alex Smith seems to have figured out his place in this offense.

Thanksgiving night will provide us with answers to see if Washington has what it takes to win the division. A motivated Dallas Cowboys look to counter in what should be an entertaining holiday matchup.
