3 trades the Dallas Cowboys should absolutely avoid
The Dallas Cowboys should avoid making these three moves at the trade deadline
The 2-4 Dallas Cowboys limp into their Week Seven matchup against the 1-5 Washington Football Team with many of their star players on Injured Reserve. Needless to say, It’s been a difficult year for America’s Team. And it’s only exacerbated by the introduction of a new head coach, coaching staff, and defensive scheme.
Without their starting quarterback, their starting tight end, all but one of their starting offensive lineman who began the season, their starting cornerback, and a spattering of others; there seems to be little the Cowboys can do to change their current trajectory.
One option that is still on the table for the Cowboys until Tuesday, Nov. 3, is trading for more players. It certainly worked back in 2018 when Dallas traded a first-round selection to the Oakland Raiders for wide receiver Amari Cooper.
Although sitting through the 2019 NFL Draft without a first-round selection was painful, Cooper helping to usher a turnaround in Dallas the season prior that included winning seven out of the team’s final eight regular-season games and earning a playoff berth was worth it.
With that successful move likely still resonating in his mind, Cowboys’ owner and general manager, Jerry Jones, could be looking to make a similar trade to try and salvage this season. But here are three circulating names that Jones and the Cowboys should absolutely avoid.
