The Dallas Cowboys currently sit at 1-2 after three games. Fortunately, they are a good team in a poor division, but they need to clean up to win it.

The Dallas Cowboys are 1-2 after a Sunday loss in Seattle. After dropping a Week 1 nail biter to the Los Angeles Rams, after a miraculous comeback that now looks more like a product of awful Falcon’s than great Cowboys after their second straight collapse on Sunday to the Bears, and after a tough back and forth affair against Russell Wilson, Pete Carrol, and the new-look Seahawks, this is where they sit.

We say “new look” here because this Seahawks team is going to beat you over the top, as opposed to beating you by keeping you from going over the top. In any event, this is about Dallas, not them.

The Dallas Cowboys aren’t lucky to be 1-2, as they should be 3-0. In each of the three games played this season, not only has Dallas been the better team on the field of the two, but they have had prime opportunities to win all three games.

As fans and as on-lookers, we are quick to want to place the blame on someone or some entity. We are fast to the gun to blame the quarterback, the linebackers, the offense as a whole, the defense as a whole, and/or the coaching.

Well, I am here to tell you that after three weeks, it really isn’t one thing, person, or entity as a whole(although if we’re being honest, the only one of those that is more to blame than any other is coaching, but even still, there’s more to it).

The Dallas Cowboys need to be better at the basics. Winning teams excel at the little things, as they are typically second nature to those teams that win.

That’s where the Cowboys have hurt themselves the most, those little things. Here are three of the most important of those and the things that would influence outcomes immediately if addressed.
