Three things will make the Dallas Cowboys season ‘Super’
By Tyrone Starr
If the Dallas Cowboys can make all three of these things happen, they will represent the NFC in the Super Bowl.
August in the National Football League puts all thirty-two teams at the same exact starting point. Every team’s fan base and every organization has its eyes on the most Super of prizes. For some teams, that’s a little bit of “pie in the sky” methodology. For the Dallas Cowboys, that goal is within reach.
Truth be told, for a lot of fan bases, just having a shot in December, let alone February would be a nice feeling. The New York Jets have not been to the postseason in nine years. Tampa Bay has turned on their collective televisions instead of putting on pads in January for 12 straight seasons. Cleveland, meanwhile, is knocking on the door of almost two decades of postseason drought.
Then there is your Dallas Cowboys. Talking of prospective postseason promise is as annual of a tradition as taking down your Christmas tree in January. Each year it seems like the Cowboys are in the list of contenders. Each year, they get no further than the second round.
Obviously, other teams have it worse, but then again, other teams are not lauded as options to pop bubbly on a consistent basis. The 2020 season will be no different.
I’ve done it. So have others. It’s all right there for the Dallas Cowboys. This team should compete for a Championship. What will it take for that to become a reality? Here are three things that will translate into a Super season. If all three of these things occur, Dallas will compete for their sixth Lombardi Trophy.
