2. Step up to the center spotlight

For the first time since 2013, the Dallas Cowboys will not enter training camp without Travis Frederick. Wow. Time flies.

Instead, the Cowboys will use the 2020 path to audition a new center. In 2018, Joe Looney stepped up for Frederick for 16 games. Looney turns 30 at the end of this month.

Behind Looney are some young guns to watch out for. The Cowboys have Connor McGovern (6-4, 306 pounds) and Connor Williams (6-6, 298 pounds) on their roster. Combined, the pair have 57 NFL starts under their belts.

My eyes, however, follow newcomer Tyler Biadasz. During my 2020 NFL Draft predictions, I scooped up the Wisconsin product in the third round. In reality, the Dallas Cowboys drafted him in the fourth round, 146th overall.

The flight plan for Biadasz may boot with some precaution, however. The Badger had surgically-repaired his shoulder during the offseason.

This may hamper his progress, especially during the early stages of camp. While I’d expect Tyler Biadasz to fill Travis Frederick’s shoes one day, the year 2020 might be too soon.
