Who are the best NFC opponents on the Dallas Cowboys’ 2020 schedule?

The Dallas Cowboys will face nine NFC Conference opponents over 12 games in 2020. The division rivals are always crucial contests, yet the non-divisional NFC games can also make or break a playoff berth.

Below are the nine 2020 NFC opponents ranked in order of expected prowess.

1) SAN FRANCISCO (NFC WEST, 2019 RECORD: 13-3)

The 2019 Super Bowl participant 49ers return a potent squad on both sides of the ball. They added a first round receiver and defensive tackle in the draft. The NFL’s 2nd best offense and 8th ranked defense will remain the team to beat in the NFC.

2) SEATTLE (NFC WEST, 2019 RECORD: 11-5)

Carlos Hyde adds a second 1,000+ yards rusher to join fellow 1,000+ yards rusher Chris Carson. The main wide receiver talent returns with an upgrade at tight end in Greg Olsen.

Edge rusher Bruce Irvin (8.5 sacks) is back for his second stint to bolster a lacking pass rush. The Seahawks should be the most dangerous wild card team in the NFC playoffs.

3) PHILADELPHIA (NFC EAST, 2019 RECORD: 9-7)

There’s only a few key changes to the roster. Rookie first rounder Jalen Reagor will now man the slot receiver. Darius Slay brings three consecutive Pro Bowls to the corner position.

A season ending injury to guard Brandon Brooks will hurt the offensive line some. The schedule is brutal with five games against 11+ win teams. 10 wins will be a tall task.
