Dallas Cowboys: Predicting the answer to three key questions
By Brad Austin
UNDRAFTED ROOKIE WITH BEST CHANCE TO PLAY
It’s my belief TCU running back Sewo Olonilua (6’3, 240) will not only make the 53-man roster, but will log snaps on Sundays during the season.
For a big man he has solid receiving skills (60 receptions, 383 yards). Most remember fullback John Kuhn (6’0, 250) from McCarthy’s Green Bay days. From 2010-13, Kuhn only started 14 total games as the Packers primarily used one-back sets.
During those four seasons, Kuhn was sneakily deployed as a backfield receiver (58 catches, 403 yards, 4 TD’s). With his size and hands, Olonilua could fill the same niche. As third running back he’d also get carries if Ezekiel Elliott misses any time with injury.
Even if Olonilua only filled the emergency third running back role like Rod Smith has in the past, he has an ideal size/speed combination for multiple special teams units.
As all Dallas Cowboys fans anxiously await camp, please feel free to share your answers/predictions to these three questions.
