TRADE UP FOR A GAME CHANGER

Dallas is no longer in the business of jumping up several spots and wasting precious draft picks in the process. Their ability and past success at finding solid contributors in other valuable rounds prevents such. Yet if a targeted, game-changing player appears 2-3 picks before them tonight, it’s an even money bet they will take a swing.

Below is a list of dynamic, scheme-fit players Dallas would seriously consider trading their 1st and 3rd round picks away to leap up and snatch.

C.J. HENDERSON (CB) – FLORIDA

Henderson is one of two corners in this draft viewed as CB #1 the day he steps on a pro field. Jeffrey Okuda, the top corner, is a bona fide stud and future star. Yet Henderson possesses blazing (4.39) speed to match his high-end cover skills.

HENRY RUGGS III (WR) – ALABAMA

Dallas would love to slide an elite speed demon into the slot between Amari Cooper and Michael Gallup. Ruggs is the perfect weapon for such desires. He has home run, deep threat speed (4.27) and is also an electric kickoff returner.

JERRY JEUDY (WR) – ALABAMA

Ruggs may be a slightly better slot fit with insane speed. However, Jeudy is even more talented as an all-around receiver. He’s plenty fast (4.45) and utterly dynamic with the ball. Jeudy can play all three spots, earning him my top receiver in the draft.

JAVON KINLAW (DT) – SOUTH CAROLINA

Veteran help was signed to bolster the interior defensive line. Yet, a disruptive beast like Kinlaw is not one to pass up at a reasonable cost. With pro coaching and a penetrating scheme, Kinlaw’s freakish physical traits would wreak havoc for Dallas.
