C.J. Henderson, CB- Florida

A rangy corner out of Florida and the number 16 prospect on CBS Sports’ NFL Draft big board, C.J. Henderson would be an ideal fit in Dallas. This goes especially after considering that they lost Byron Jones, although that wasn’t the worst thing in the world that could have happened.

Henderson has reportedly been told that he has a lot of the same qualities that Amari Cooper has, as his uncle coached Cooper in high school in Miami, which could hopefully transfer into defensive playmaking for a Cowboys defense that has lacked big play ability over the last few seasons.

Henderson is not only a big corner at 6’1, but he also is able to move, running a 4.39 40 yard dash at the NFL Combine. He would be a great fit in Dallas.

K’Lavon Chaisson, EDGE- LSU

The number 15 ranked prospect on CBS’s big board, K’Lavon Chaisson is a freaky talent who is still rather raw from an NFL perspective. He has the physical attributes and the potential to be a great pass rusher at the next level capable of flat out wrecking offensive game plans.

He also has the potential to be one of the biggest busts of this draft. That is the story that the numbers paint when you look at his sack, hit, and pressure numbers.

The Cowboys lost a quality pass rusher in Robert Quinn, their best last season, so this may be a tempting pick for them. Just beware, the potential to get a bust is strong with this one.

Xavier McKinney, DB- Alabama

Ranked number 20 on the big board, safety Xavier McKinney would fill a need for the Cowboys. Arguably the top safety in the draft, he would not only be a safe option because he comes from Alabama, which means that he should be a serviceable pro at worst but you could get a lot better with only slightly more risk.

This wouldn’t be a bad pick for the Cowboys to make, for all the reasons listed above, but the question lies in if it would be the best pick to make. That is a question that remains to be answered.
