1. C.J. Henderson | Florida | Cornerback | 17th overall

No surprise here. If this cornerback is on the board, the Dallas Cowboys will nab him. The question mark left by Byron Jones is solved by the Florida cornerback.

Interestingly, in this mock, C.J. Henderson and K’Lavon Chaisson from LSU were both available at the 17th spot. I’ll take Henderson every time. K’Lavon Chaisson went two picks later to the Las Vegas Raiders.

Henderson wears the star alongside Jourdan Lewis, Chidobe Awuzie and Anthony Brown. Let’s note something important: Awuzie and Lewis are set to become free agents in 2021. So, Henderson’s arrival isn’t a surprise here.

Christopher Jr. Henderson stands at six-foot-one, 204 pounds. His 40-yard dash time was 4.39 seconds. His final vertical jump was listed at 37.5 inches. The cornerback played three seasons with Florida.

After recording six interceptions in his first two seasons with the Florida Gators, the Miami native did not record one in 2019. Overall, he has accumulated 93 tackles, four sacks, two forced fumbles, 20 pass deflections, and two defensive scores during his time with the Gators.

In 2017 and 2018, Henderson made the Second Team All-SEC. But in 2019, the cornerback made the First Team All-SEC.
