With the 51st overall pick in round two of the 2020 NFL Draft, the Dallas Cowboys select …

Ross Blacklock, DT – TCU

I cannot make this stuff up. The Dallas Cowboys dream scenario continues with Blacklock falling to them this late in round two. Secondary and defensive tackle easily qualify as the Cowboys’ two biggest needs and they get two highly skilled players at those spots with Okudah and Blacklock.

At 6-foot-3 and 290 lbs., he is not the behemoth that Mike Nolan defenses usually employ in the middle of the line. Blacklock’s size, however, coupled with elite speed and quickness for a bigger man can be quite disruptive.

In just two full seasons at TCU, Blacklock posted 15.5 tackles for loss and 5.5 sacks. Compared to last year’s second-round selection Trysten Hill, that production is far greater. Hill, in one additional year, finished with just four total tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss and a half-sack more.

Other possible options available: Marlon Davidson, DT – Auburn, Antoine Winfield, Jr., S – Minnesota
