With the NFL Scouting Combine closed, the Dallas Cowboys turn their eyes to the NFL Draft, which begins on April 23. Here are three random thoughts.

The Dallas Cowboys must find confidence in the 2020 NFL Draft, particularly with the cornerback spot. The ‘Boys found draft success by selecting Byron Jones, Chidobe Awuzie, and Jourdan Lewis in recent NFL Drafts, but Jones is in airplane mode.

On top of that, it’s likely that tight end Jason Witten is out of Dallas as well. While the Cowboys are locking up Blake Jarwin for 2020, Cowboys Nation figures Big D will use draft resources to fill the tight end cabinet with new talent (read: youth).

And, let’s not forget about the defensive line. Robert Quinn is turning into a major question mark for the 2020 NFL free agency. Maliek Collins, Christian Covington, and Michael Bennett are set to hit the market as well.

So, in short, there are several question marks that the NFL Draft and free agency will answer. This is on top of pending commitments to quarterback Dak Prescott and wide receiver Amari Cooper, which are major bubbles themselves.

With the NFL Draft over a month away, there are so many moving parts to discuss. And that’s just when we look at the Dallas Cowboys picture. What if we zoom out, readjust our lens and focus on the rest of the NFC East Division?

How does the draft picture with the New York Giants look? Do the Washington Redskins dare take a quarterback with the second overall pick, despite taking Dwayne Haskins in the first round of the 2019 draft?

So many questions. So many thoughts. Here are three random thoughts on the 2020 NFL Draft. Enjoy and comment on your thoughts!
