The Dallas Cowboys are often linked to big-name free agents who never sign. Instead, let’s take a look at these eight overlooked players.

The Dallas Cowboys have a lot of things going on right now, the NFL Combine is next week, the deadline to tag players like quarterback Dak Prescott and receiver Amari Cooper is fast approaching as well.

We also know that the big-name free agent players aren’t going to be high on the Cowboys list so they will look to sign lower-tier players to short term deals. Here is a list of players that could fall into that category.

Defensive End Noah Spence

The Dallas Cowboys have been rumored to want to bring back defensive end Robert Quinn after he led the team in sacks last season.

If the Dallas Cowboys are unable to bring back Quinn it could be for two reasons, they didn’t actually want to re-sign him, or he took more money from another team. If that happens a lower-tier player that many have overlooked is defensive end, Noah Spence.

Not the flashiest name in free agency, Spence would still give the Cowboys a capable pass rusher who can beat offensive linemen with his speed and power.

Given the chance on a new team, Spence could develop into a very nice rotational piece for the Cowboys to use when giving DeMarcus Lawrence and possibly Randy Gregory a breather on the sidelines. Coaches always say you can never have too many pass rushers, and that exactly what the Cowboys need right now.
