Adam Trautman, TE, Dayton

If you’re looking for a well-rounded tight end and who can do it all Trautman may be one of the tops in this year’s draft class at the tight end position. Trautman is a 6-foot-5, 251-pound force that has tremendous receiving skills and can be a huge asset in the run game.

Trautman has a ridiculous catch radius with his massive frame and still surprisingly moves very fluidly at his size. As you watch him got to work in his route tree he knows how to set up opposing defensive backs with leverage in his route running.

As sure-handed as a tight end can be, Trautman can come down with multiple contested catches during a game, his run after the catch ability is something to see at his size as well.

Trautman is a tone-setter in the run game. He understands how to use low pad level to his advantage and his feet to maul opposing defensive lineman. He uses his lower half very well to create great blocking angles.

As a converted quarterback, the best thing about Trautman is he is brand new to the tight end position. He has shown great promise and will only continue to get better at the position.

In 2019, he racked up 70 receptions for 916 yards and 14 touchdowns. Based on those numbers you can see how effective he truly is in the red zone.
