The Dallas Cowboys the past few season have typically held off jumping into the free agency ruckus until it’s died down. This year, it’s time for a change.

The Dallas Cowboys have a real chance and putting together a team that can do some damage later in the season. Now a lot of that depends on how the talks between them and quarterback Dak Prescott go, but if they can get him signed the sky’s the limit with possibilities.

So let’s take a look at a few veteran free agents that would have an immediate impact on the Cowboys. First up …

Vic Beasley, DE

The Dallas Cowboys need a player to rush the passer opposite Pro-Bowl defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence and with Robert Quinn about to cash in once free agency opens. So the first player that would be a big splash would be Vic Beasley. The Cowboys have always wanted someone at the right defensive end position that can pressure the quarterback with speed and Beasley has that ability.

Beasley could potentially come at a cheaper price than Quinn as well with his market value projected at $7.3 million annually compared to Quinn who’s projected market value is $11.8 million according to Spotrac.com.

Along with being cheaper, Beasley’s 37.5 sacks in five season shows he has the talent to improve the Cowboys pass rush and be a major player on defense if the Cowboys were to pull the trigger. Beasley paired with Lawrence would give the Cowboys a very dangerous pass rush and defensive ends that hold up well against the run.
