2. Ring of Honor

Yes, Jimmy Johnson will be inducted into the Hall of Fame. But as of this writing, he is still not in the Dallas Cowboys Ring of Honor. Odd? You bet.

There are 22 names in the Ring of Honor. This includes 19 players, coach Tom Landry and two executives.

After Johnson’s final run with the Miami Dolphins in 1999, 12 members were inducted into the Dallas Cowboys Ring of Honor.

Oddly enough, Johnson coached six of those members, which included Troy Aikman, Michael Irvin, and Emmitt Smith. The last player who entered the Ring of Honor was Darren Woodson in 2015, whom Johnson also coached.

Jimmy Johnson will be inducted into the Hall of Fame on July 26, 2020. His last game with the Dallas Cowboys was on January 30, 1994, where he led the ‘Boys to a Super Bowl victory over the Buffalo Bills, 30-13.

That was 26 years ago. 26! Johnson is getting fitted for a gold jacket, but his name isn’t among the greats in the Ring of Honor at AT&T Stadium.
