6. Trevon Diggs, CB, Alabama

Trevon Diggs is your prototypical corner that the NFL is trying to move towards. At 6-foot-2 207 lbs. he has range, length, size, and speed.

Diggs would fit more of a zone scheme than a man coverage scheme. He has an incredible understanding of how to read route patterns and get depth in zone schemes.

Diggs understands most zone concepts very well, but don’t takeaway his greatest attributes away all together. He is purely gifted with size and strength. Allowing him to play press coverage and redirect wide receivers.

For a larger cornerback, Diggs has fluid hips that allow him to redirect and play the football in the air. I just wish he’d be even more aggressive at his given size, primarily in the run game.

Come draft day you never who may fall to the Cowboys or who may rise up the board after the combine and pro days, but one thing is for sure, Dallas cannot miss on their first round pick and coming away with either a defensive tackle, cornerback or safety is a big time upgrade for their defense.
