The Dallas Cowboys have glaring issues on their defense, but with the 2020 NFL Draft approaching they have the opportunity to address these needs.

The Dallas Cowboys are now on the clock! Words we all long to hear. Will the Cowboys stay put at No. 17, trade up or trade down. Many analysts will have their theories and scenarios for the NFL Draft, which kicks off in April.

Cowboys fans have been waiting for that historic sixth Lombardi Trophy and the roster that is present in Dallas is one that can succeed now. But they’re just a few key pieces away from making that next championship run.

Defense wins championship, right? Defensively, the Cowboys have needs in a variety of positions that they can hopefully acquire during free agency and the draft. They must address the interior defensive front along with the secondary.

Before the draft, the Cowboys can hopefully help bolster their defense during the free agency period pending their cap situation after signing key free agents such as quarterback Dak Prescott and wide receiver Amari Cooper.

With the roster as is before the free agency period begins, Dallas can look at six potential first-round targets that can immediately help them on defense in 2020.
