Free agents each new Dallas Cowboys coach might like to sign
Joe Philbin – Bryan Bulaga, OT
The Dallas Cowboys are in dire need of a backup swing tackle with Cameron Fleming set to leave in free agency. They haven’t had a good back up since Jeremy Parnell left in free agency back in 2015. This is were Bryan Bulaga comes into play especially if the Cowboys believe they can win now. Bulaga spent time begin coached by Philbin during his time with the Packers.
A reliable blocking tackle who can step in if there is ever an injury and help keep the offense going sounds pretty good to me and probably for the Cowboys as well.
John Fassel – Greg Zuerlein, K
The Dallas Cowboys finally released kicker Brett Maher but now they have to find another kicker to replace him. Kai Forbath did a great job filling in at the end of the season but when you have the chance to bring in a kicker of your choosing you go with who you know. Well, Fassel knows Zuerlein and what he is able to do having coached him over the past eight years.
Zuerlein’s big leg and 82 percent field goal percentage would make Cowboys fans all to happy if he were to sign here.
All of these players will probably come with a high price tag but coaches can dream can’t they. And if the Cowboys can work something out that is team-friendly with Prescott, Cooper, and Jones they might be able to get a few of these guys.
