Top 10 most memorable Dallas Cowboys games of the decade

3. Lions vs. Cowboys – Wildcard Round, 2014
The Dallas Cowboys earned themselves the third seed in the NFC after finishing 12-4 and winning the division for the first time since 2009.
The Cowboys found themselves down 14-0 for the majority of the first half, until Tony Romo found Terrance Williams for a 65-yard catch and run to cut the deficit in half. The Cowboys would eventually be down 17-7 at the half.
On the first play of the second half Lions quarterback, Matt Stafford was picked off, and it seems as if the tides were turning for the Cowboys until a misses 41-yard field goal by sure-footed Dan Bailey.
Down 20-7 late in the third, Romo found Dez Bryant on a huge play, setting up the Cowboys with a tremendous opportunity to cut the score to a one-possession game. On fourth and goal from the one-yard line, DeMarco Murray punched it in the endzone to make the score 20-14.
The Cowboys would then tack on another field goal, and on the following drive, the Lions were faced with a 3rd and 1 from midfield. On the play, Stafford tried to find the tight end, Brandon Pettigrew who was face guarded on the play by linebacker Anthony Hitchens. A flag was thrown, then mysteriously picked up with no explanation. A huge break for the Cowboys but a head-scratcher for the NFL.
On the Cowboys final drive, the Cowboys were faced with a 4th and 6 at midfield, when Romo found Jason Witten on the “Y-option” route for 19 yards. A play I will never forget.
Down in the red zone, with 2:34 left in the game, on 3rd and goal, Romo found Terrance Williams in the back of the endzone for the game-winner. The Cowboys were onto Green Bay.
