The Dallas Cowboys face off with the Philadelphia Eagles for NFC East title this weekend. Here’s what the Cowboys must do to win on Sunday.

As the Dallas Cowboys prepare to head to Philly for the most important game of the season, they face a tough challenge. Going into one of the most hostile stadiums in the NFL, the Cowboys have to stop a Philadelphia Eagles running game that is coming on at the right time. Unfortunately, it’s the worst time for Dallas.

While everyone is focused on quarterback Dak Prescott‘s shoulder injury, people are losing sight of the fact that the Dallas Cowboys linebacking core has been decimated by injuries. Just last week linebackers Joe Thomas and Luke Gifford went down and Leighton Vander Esch still hasn’t been cleared to practice. This forced the Cowboys to sign former Super Bowl MVP Malcolm Smith.

The Eagles have been watching this situation and are going to try and exploit it with their stable of running backs. Using the speed of running backs Miles Sanders, Boston Scott, and the power from Jay Ajayi and Jordan Howard if healthy enough to play. The Cowboys are going to have to hope that Sean Lee, Jaylon Smith, and company can keep them under wraps.

The Dallas Cowboys defensive line will also need to come up big just like they did last week. But that’s not the only problem these running back present as they all can catch the ball out of the backfield and make plays.

So you can expect to see quite a few running back screens from the Eagles to get their running back out in space. That means that the Cowboys cornerbacks and safeties need to wrap these guys up before they can get a full head of steam.
