The Dallas Cowboys will take on Philadelphia this Sunday with the fate of the NFC East and the playoffs in the balance. Here are three potential Eagle killers.

The Dallas Cowboys and the Philadelphia Eagles are both tied for the lead in the NFC East with matching 7-7 records. The Cowboys hold a temporary advantage over the Eagles as America’s Team came away with a decisive 37-10 victory over the Birds back in Week Seven.

Therefore, if the Cowboys can go into Philly this Sunday and come out with a win, Dallas will secure the divisional crown for the second-straight season and earn themselves a playoff berth.

In order to do so, the Cowboys will need some big performances from their key players. Here are three potential Eagle killers to watch in Week 16.

Amari Cooper, WR

Amari Cooper has dealt with several injuries this season including issues with his knee, ankle, and foot. And those injuries have taken their toll on the three-time Pro Bowler’s performance in recent weeks.

The fifth-year veteran is coming off a one catch, 19-yard outing against the Los Angeles Rams in Week 15. And Cooper has scored just one touchdown in the Cowboys’ last five games.

But Cooper seems to come alive against the Eagles. In Week Seven, Amari recorded five catches for 106 yards. And last season, Cooper showed out against Philadelphia in their previous matchup racking up an incredible stat-line of 10 receptions for 217 yards and three scores.

A positive sign that Cooper could have a bounce-back performance against the Eagles on Sunday is the fact he didn’t appear on the team’s injury report at all this past week.

Ezekiel Elliott, RB

Ezekiel Elliott went off for 117 yards and two touchdowns against the Rams last weekend. It was only the sixth time this season Zeke has posted more than 100 rushing yards in a game. Out of those six contests, Dallas won five times. One of those century games was against the Eagles in Week Seven when Elliott rushed for 111 yards and a score.

Jourdan Lewis, CB

Of all the Cowboys’ various pass rushers, the most unlikely is defensive back Jourdan Lewis. The 5-foot-10, 195-pound cornerback normally covers the slot. But Dallas has utilized the speed and football instincts of Lewis as a blitzer.

Lewis has recorded 3.0 sacks in the Cowboys’ last three games along with 18 total tackles, three pass defends, and an interception. He also posted a sack the last time Dallas played the Eagles back in Week Seven.
